Laboratory Technician in Functional Lipidomics
A half-time position as laboratory technician for 1 year is available in the group of Associate Professor Christer Ejsing, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark. The position is to be filled by 1 July 2012 or soon thereafter.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled person to work on interdisciplinary projects aimed at characterizing molecular lipid species in biological matrices. The successful candidate is expected to apply sophisticated mass spectrometry-based lipidomic routines for quantitative analysis of molecular lipid species, perform sample preparation, and execute data processing routines to analyse and disseminate data.
Candidates with a laboratory technician degree will be preferred. Prior experience in lipid mass spectrometry including independent instrument operation, sample preparation and data processing is a prerequisite. The candidate should be proficient in English and possess good interpersonal skills.

Appointment as laboratory technician is for one years. Employment stops automatically at the end of the period.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Laboratory Association affiliated with HK/STAT.
