PhD fellowship in experimental biophysics

Job description:

A 3-year or 4-year stipend to complete PhD studies in experimental biophysics is available at MEMPHYS, SDU MEMPHYS , SDU . The position is part of a collaborative project between MEMPHYS and the company Newtec. The main focus of the project is impedance spectroscopy of fruit and vegetables aimed at obtaining a deeper understanding of the impedance spectrum for fruit, vegetables, and especially potatoes in order to clarify which information this spectrum can provide. The ultimate industrial scope of the ph.d.-project is to develop a declaration method for potatoes. Outstanding candidates with a strong background in experimental physics, biophysics, or physical chemistry are invited to apply. Candidates should be prepared to share their work between the university and the company. The successful applicant will be enrolled in the Graduate School of Molecular Biophysics at the University of Southern Denmark. Further information can be obtained from Professor Ole G. Application, salary, etc.:

Appointment as a PhD Research Fellow is for three years. Employment stops automatically at the end of the period. The holder of the scholarship is not allowed to have other paid employment during the three-year period.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement of 1 October 2008 on salaried PhD scholars between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

The successful candidate will be enrolled at this university in accordance with faculty regulations and the Danish Ministerial Order on the PhD Programme at the Universities (PhD order).
