Student Assistants – Stud-liv Campus Environment Esbjerg
Studieservice is seeking three student assistants in a period stating from August 6th until December 31st 2012, with possibility of prolonging the contract period.
The three student assistants have a shared responsibility to act as coordinator and initiator of planning and implementing activities to improve the study environment on Campus Esbjerg. The work will be centralized around the conduct of a need assessment and the development of a strategy and an action plan for activities in the three main focus areas, which are the physical study environment, the social environment, and the cultural study environment, across study areas and also with emphasis on integrating international students in the Danish study environment. The report should be submitted in November. The division of time and responsibility is presented in the table below:
Person as coordinator with the responsibility Physical environment:
• Main contact person of the working group
• Coordinator of meetings and agendas of the working group
• Responsible for communicating issues by the working group to relevant partners
• Responsible for implementing initiatives, which relate to the physical environment for the students, in corporation with the joint administration
Workinghours 6 hours/week
Person as social responsible with the responsibility social environment:

• Coordinator and responsible for the enrolement of the social activities initiated by the working group in coordination with other relevant student organizations
• Contact person for Lars Kirkegaard (activity manager), the building offices and other relevant partners re. events
Working hours 6 hours/week
Person as Cultur Responsible with the (Study) culture environment:
• Responsible for the annual week
student based process with introducing
international students to the study
environment in Esbjerg and to promote
the integration of international student
into the Danish study environment, in
coordination with the study leaders
• Responsible for a continuing non-formal agreement between SDU and the
international students re. expectations
on the joint initiative to promote the
integration of international students
into the Danish study environment
Working hours 6 hours/week
We seek employees, who are able to work independently and who are not afraid to develop networks and initiate activities on their own. Good English and Danish language and writing skills are required, and experiences with the use of the MS Office package, especially Word and Excel, are preferred.
